I Believe in Miracles
Introduction
Chapter 1: Your Miracle is in Your Mouth

I Believe in Miracles

Delivered from Death

At age 4, Richard was like every normal child, inquisitive, impulsive, and energetic. My in-laws lived in the city, and you know how grandparents, aunts and uncles love to see the “little ones.” Therefore, we visited their home regularly.

On one of these regular visits, tragedy was waiting to strike. Our little and last child Richard decided to take an adventure, he planned to cross the busy street that my relatives lived on to see what was on the other side.

As Richard took off with a speed to fulfill his dream, a pick-up truck was driving up the street at the same time and came head-on with him, as the driver tried to avert the impending accident the vehicle came to a screeching stop just inches from impact. Richard fell to the ground directly in front of the vehicle. His mother and other members of my family that were witnessing this terrifying drama became hysterical anticipating the worst, amazingly, before their eyes, our baby got up, dusted his clothes and instinctively ran back to them only to be emotionally embraced by all. Again God said, “He shall not die, but live, and fulfill the will of God.”

Stopped the Rain

Evangelism is the heartbeat of my ministry; it is all about reaching souls for Jesus. The Lord has anointed me with divine favor to hold crusade meetings at unusual times of the year, like in the rainy season, and in strong religious territories such as predominantly Hindu communities.

It was in the month of November 2004 almost at the completion of this book that the Lord pulled me away to have a miracle and deliverance crusade. At this time, the weather is quite unpredictable. Our guest speaker was Apostle Arnold Gajramsingh, a man of God strongly anointed in the ministry of deliverance. The fixed dates of the crusade were Saturday 13 to Wednesday 17 November 2004. Our church car park was the venue and was prepared to accommodate a few hundred people.

Throughout the community people were invited, and 21 days of prayer and fasting by several supporting churches made ready for what the Lord was about to do. I was confident that this was God’s time for the predominantly Hindu community of Barrackpore. However, the unexpected happened.

The day before the start of the crusade was Friday, and from early morning, all throughout the day were thundershowers. Because of low lands and poor drainage, the water quickly began to rise and flood many parts of the southland. Barrackpore is prone for flooding due to improper drainage. However, this time was worst. The water rose to 127mm being the highest recorded in fifteen years. Houses were flooded and farms lost livestock and poultry. The rains continued into Saturday morning threatening the start of the crusade. This was not natural; it was spiritual warfare, a battle for Barrackpore. I was angry in my spirit against the demoniac forces that were fighting the work of the Lord. This crusade was the will of God for the people in the community; therefore, I had to do something about it. The key to victory was in my mouth, but I needed someone to agree with me.

Early Saturday morning while the inclement weather conditions persist, I called my friend and prayer partner Rev. David Teelucksingh and asked him to agree with my prayer to stop the rain. My prayer was based on the Word of God which reveals the time that Joshua commanded the sun and moon to stand still so that he could have more time to fight the battle and conquer his enemy (see Joshua 10:12,13). God gave Israel a sign that His word to King Hezekiah was surely going to happen, and therefore God made the sun to go backward ten degrees (see Isaiah 38:5-9).

Elias (Elijah) was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain (see James 5:17, 18). Therefore, the miracle was in my mouth. I then prayed and commanded the rain to stop in the name of Jesus and for the Word of the Lord to shut up the heavens. My decree was that the weather conditions would be perfect for people to attend the meetings, and so said so done.

Surely many of the saints were also praying, but when I prayed, I felt the power of God’s Word release out of my spirit through my mouth and literally stop the rain. The first night of the crusade was cold due to the flood, however, the following night I saw people using hand fans to cool the heat during the service, and this continued throughout the five nights. Despite the negative prediction by the meteorological office that there would be rain and with the visible black clouds in the sky, the Word of the Lord was irrevocable.

Each night the power of God was present to save, heal and deliver. This was absolutely the most fruitful crusade of the year for us, and the people of Barrackpore will never be the same. Praise the Lord!

By faith I stopped the rain because it was God’s will for the crusade meetings. However, it is not God’s will for the rain to stop indefinitely; therefore, I believe that the same Word that shut the heavens would be the same Word that would open it again.

It was Wednesday night the final service of the crusade; I stayed behind after the service to instruct those responsible for clearing the facilities. The time was after midnight and I called my family, a few ushers and some of the youths that were with me. I explained to them what we needed to do in prayer. I then lifted my hands, and in the name of Jesus commanded the heavens to unlock and for normal weather conditions to return. The next day, as expected when you pray the prayer of faith, the clouds burst and the rains began to fall.

To God be the glory, another manifested miracle has magnified our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.

Introduction

Jesus taught His disciples to pray: “Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.” (Matthew 6:9-13).

Notice what we are to pray: “…Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” Jesus wants us to receive and experience that which is in heaven, here in the earth. Jesus said, “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work” (John 4:34). “For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me” (John 6:38).

What did Jesus do in the earth during His earthly ministry? He healed the sick, cleansed the lepers, raised the dead, and cast out devils. Therefore, Jesus manifested miracles by doing the WILL OF GOD.

In this book, you will discover biblical answers to the threefold question: What is a miracle? Where do miracles come from?  How does one receive a miracle?

The word MIRACLE is a divine term used to describe the unveiled WILL OF GOD. Therefore, it is imperative that the term is used in its proper context, and not in general reference to things that are unrelated to God.

Miracles are not the result of science, the ingenuity of man, or the favorable circumstances of life, if the WILL OF GOD is not revealed in them.

Supernatural phenomenon and apparitions are not to be accepted as miracles, if they are not the revealed WILL OF GOD.

Psychics, sorcerers, magicians, spirit-mediums, witches, warlocks, and occultists, are all in league with devils, therefore, their works are not to be accepted as miracles, because they are not doing the WILL OF GOD, they are doing counterfeit miracles.

Counterfeit miracles are supernatural signs of Satan that will deceive many in these last days as predicted by Jesus:

And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect” (Matthew 24:11, 24, emphasis added).

John the apostle describes counterfeit miracles performed by Satan during the apocalypse period, as foretold in Revelation 13:13, 14 / 19:20:

And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone (emphasis added).

Counterfeit miracles are Satan’s strongest strategy aimed to seduce both sinners and saints alike. To discern between true and false miracles, one must question the source by asking, “Is it the will of God?” If it’s not the revealed will of God, then it’s not a miracle, it’s a counterfeit.

The correct definition of the term “miracle” is essential to the Christian faith. The title of this book is the revelation of the subject, and the contents are inspired of God to bring clarity to this cardinal doctrine of the Bible.

This “miracles manual” is a practical source of biblical information, spiritual inspiration, and divine revelation of God’s will for your life. It is simple to read and understand, has practical life applications, packed with scriptural references, and loaded with profound revelations. Therefore, this book is presented to everyone who needs a miracle or knows someone who does.

Miracles are timeless and relevant to the needs of humanity of all ages. Therefore, read, study, and apply the biblical principles of this “manual,” and discover the WILL OF GOD for a blessed and better life.

Chapter 1

Your Miracle is in your Mouth

“Your mouth is the medium between the promise and the provision”

HIS WILL

MIRACLES ARE REVELATIONS OF THE WILL OF GOD!

Whenever the WILL OF GOD is unveiled, then His character, plan, purpose, and power are known. When the will of God is known miracles can then manifest. The Holy Bible is the inerrant Word of God and in it reveals the will of God. Therefore, the Word of God is the revelation of His Will. Hence, God’s will is not revealed where the Word of God is not known. When there is no word from God there is no revelation, and where there is no revelation, there are no miracles.

One of the saddest seasons in Bible history is found in 1 Samuel 3:1 that says, And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; there was no vision. In others words, there was a famine of God’s word during this period, and the people had very little or no knowledge of God’s will. The womb of miracles was temporarily closed. Perhaps the impiety and impurity that prevailed in the tabernacle, and no doubt corrupted the whole nation, had provoked God, and therefore life at that time was void of miracles.

Praise the Lord for His open and complete revelation of His will today, which is the Holy Bible. God’s Word contains Revelations of His Will. Therefore, miracles can only manifest when the will of God is unveiled. For example:

·        Is it God’s will to heal you? Yes! God’s Word the Bible reveals: “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5, emphasis added).

Therefore, your miracle of healing is waiting to manifest.

  • Is it God’s will to bless you? Yes! The Bible reveals, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” (Ephesians 1:3, emphasis added). Therefore, your miracles of blessings are waiting to manifest.

·        Is it God’s will for you to prosper? Yes! The Bible reveals:

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be

in health, even as thy soul prospereth” (3 John 1:2, emphasis added).

Therefore, your miracle of prosperity is waiting to manifest.

  • Is it God’s will to save you? Yes! The Bible reveals, “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” (see 1 Timothy 1:15, emphasis added). Therefore, your miracle of salvation is waiting to manifest.

A Miracle is a revelation of the Will of God, and the Word of God gives birth to that revelation. Jesus’ priority in His earthly ministry is revealed by His own words: “For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me” (John 6:38, emphasis added). Everything Jesus did was in agreement with the will of God the Father, thus miracles manifested in all that He had done.

Jesus gives us a glimpse into what heaven is like and what earth is to become. Heaven has no hospitals because everybody is well, no jails because everybody is good, no court houses because there is perfect harmony. In heaven, there is no lack because the Lord is the origin of all things. Therefore, if it is good enough for heaven, it is good enough for earth. In our Lord’s Prayer, He taught us how to pray, and said, “When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth” (Luke 11:2, emphasis added).

“Thy will be done.” Jesus is teaching us to pray for miracles to manifest. Therefore, miracles are made in heaven and born on earth. Notice, what is in heaven cannot come into the earth until you pray for it. Your miracle (the revelation of God’s will) is in your mouth, waiting to be manifested.

In the garden of Gethsemane, we hear our Lord praying to the Father, and said, “… not my will, but thine, be done” (Luke 22:42). Jesus prayed for the miracle of His death and His resurrection to manifest. We must understand that this miracle was locked in the bosom of God from the foundation of the world, as revealed in (Revelation 13:8). This was a miracle waiting to be born. This miracle had a designated person who would give birth to it (Jesus), a place for it to be born (in earth), a divine purpose (salvation of sinners), and a time to manifest (God’s time).

Therefore, in the fullness of time, the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us in the person of Jesus the Christ (John 1:14). He enters Gethsemane, and uses the key of prayer to unlock the “greatest miracle,” which is the gift of salvation. Jesus opened His mouth and said to the Father, “Thy will be done” (see Matthew 26:42), and what was settled in heaven was about to manifest in the earth. However, the battle for this miracle was exceeding great. The fact is Satan knew that he could not have stopped the revealed will of God, because it was already established in heaven, but what Satan desperately tried to do, was to stop the manifestation of the will of God. Therefore, the garden became the battlefield.

See Jesus kneeling on the ground, His soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even unto death, his disciples are asleep, and being in agony He prayed more earnestly: and His sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling to the ground. God the Father moved with compassion immediately sent an angel unto Him from heaven, to strengthen His only begotten Son. The battle was fierce; Satan’s purpose for applying such physical and mental pressure was to gain control of His mouth. The Enemy fully understood that the miracle was in Christ’s mouth. Therefore, he thought that if he could tempt Jesus to give up during His passion that maybe His words would change, and the miracle aborted. However, three consecutive times Jesus prayed the same thing, “Thy will be done.”  Ultimately, He won the war, as He opened His mouth and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, came forth, releasing the will of God to fill the earth, and it was impossible for the spoken Word to return void.

Everything that you need in this life is already made in heaven for you, and in this chapter, you will discover biblical keys to unlock your miracles and experience the better life.
